Mukono

Mukono is a town found in Mukono district in the central of Uganda and the town is boarded by Kalagi, Kira, Lake Victoria and Lugazi district. The town is 21 km east of the central of Kampala, Uganda’s capital.
History- Mukono was part of Buganda but it was later curved out of the kingdom and was named east Mengo and then named Kagwe district and its town is now a commercial and administrative centre for Mukono district.


Attractions
Lake Victoria- This is the largest Lake in Africa and the second fresh water lake in the world.There is water sports games and leisure sites in Mukono around Lake Victoria.
Sezibwa falls- River Sezibwa is found in the middle of Mukono district and its believed to have been born by Nakungu Tibatesa the wife to Nsubuga, Sebwaato and this river flows in lake kyoga and it’s a cultural symbol with caves for tourism.
